Gary L. Bakke is the senior attorney at Bakke Norman, S.C. After retiring from his civil and family law litigation practice, he now concentrates on mediation, counseling small businesses and complex business litigation. He was one of the founding members of Bakke Norman, S.C. and has practiced law in New Richmond for more than 37 years.
Mr. Bakke served as President of the State Bar of Wisconsin (2000-2001) and has chaired both the Family Law Section and the Practice Management Section of the State Bar. He has been recognized by the publication, Best Lawyers In America every year since the inception of that publication in 1987.
He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School, and is admitted to practice in both state and federal courts.
As the author of many articles and publications on a wide range of issues from computerization of law offices to the future of the legal profession in the United States, he has a constant flow of challenging ideas for the profession to better serve its clients. He is also an author of continuing legal education articles, has made presentations at legal seminars, and has taught at the University of Wisconsin Law School. He has spoken at American Bar Association events in London, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Niagara Falls, and Atlanta.
