Chamber Citizen of the Year - Tim O’Brien, Bakke Norman Law Office
The Chamber’s Citizen of the Year is awarded to someone who consistently puts his or her community and fellow citizens above their own interests. A person who makes the community a better place to live. There is no better example of that than this year’s Citizen of the Year, Tim O’Brien.
O’Brien is first and foremost a dedicated husband and father. Throughout the years he has made numerous contributions to the betterment of New Richmond. He has served on many committees of the Chamber of Commerce and served as its president. He was active in encouraging a forward-thinking School Board and served on the committee that recommended the School District’s long-range building needs which are now becoming a reality. And now he is actively involved in the Front Porch Project which is helping to develop New Richmond’s vision for the future. His is a helping hand for many such civic endeavors.
