Bakke Norman, S.C. Celebrates 20th Anniversary in July of 2005
After twenty years, Bakke Norman, S.C. has gradually expanded from one office – then located in the Heritage Center in New Richmond – to six offices in Western Wisconsin. A brand new building was constructed across from the Heritage Center to house attorneys and staff alike for the firm in 1986. Since that time, offices have been established in Baldwin, Menomonie, Amery, Spring Valley, and Osceola. From the three original attorneys (Gary Bakke, George Norman, and Thomas Schumacher) the entire staff has grown to over 35 attorneys and support staff combined. Our Amery office results from a merger between Byrnes Law Office and Bakke Norman. Attorneys Daniel J. Byrnes and son Brian D. Byrnes decided to accept an offer to join the team in July of 2002. Richardson Law Office of Spring Valley merged with Bakke Norman in January of 2003 to further broaden the services to our clients generally, as well as in these two specific locations. Osceola is the newest ‘child’ in the family, born in October of 2004. Potential projects are in the works in 2005-6 for Menomonie and Baldwin locations to alleviate cozy conditions or reconfigure space as a result of steady growth. We are looking to add additional individuals to our team in several locations to assist in serving over 2000 current clients in St. Croix, Polk, Pierce, Barron, and Dunn counties. Thanks to all who have been a part of the history of this law firm. A celebration was held at the residence of Attorney Maureen Wegleitner for all staff and their families on June 30th, 2005. The theme was ‘A Tropical Treat’ and catered food, drinks, and décor were all planned to fool us into thinking we were in some tropical location…if the weather had cooperated (cold, windy and rainy) it might have been more effective but we did the best we could! |
