Jason assists small business and individuals on a wide variety of business and individual issues including real estate, estate planning, probate, tax and business succession. He works hard to ensure his clients’ business transactions navigate smoothly through all stages from initial negotiations and due diligence, through closing. Jason also assists individual clients in drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, marital property agreements and business entities and operating agreements.
Prior to joining Bakke Norman, Jason worked in-house as a real estate attorney for a retailer. He successfully completed complex real estate transactions involving the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate. Jason also assisted in negotiating to resolve complex contract disputes between contractors and owners during the construction process.
During his time at the University of Wisconsin Law School, Jason worked to develop his legal skills through many internships and clinical opportunities. He worked on a wide variety of legal issues as a legal intern with the Wisconsin Supreme Court. He also worked as a law clerk providing tax and regulatory compliance advice for a national life insurance provider. Additionally, Jason was involved with both the Legal Assistance to Incarcerated Persons Project and the Wisconsin Unemployment Appeals Clinic.
Jason currently resides in Eau Claire, WI. When not assisting clients, Jason enjoys being outdoors, golfing, playing pool, and working on cars.
