Probate and Estate Administration

Many people find the idea of “probate” to be intimidating. What is probate? Isn’t it expensive? Will I have to pay for it? Our probate team is available to answer your questions and help you after the death of a loved one.

Legally, probate is how a person’s affairs are handled after his or her death. Probate allows debts to be paid and property to be sold or transferred to heirs and involves the paperwork to make it all happen. Probate might involve complex and formal court proceedings, but usually it is an informal process in which things go smoothly. Probate might not even be necessary at all, depending on the situation, including whether the deceased person planned in advance for probate avoidance.

Our probate team can help you handle a probate or other estate administration and guide you with care and consideration to help achieve the best outcome for you and your family.
